Damjan is member of the Aksentijevic family and same as his brother Rastko, he inherited love for arts from their father Pavle Aksentijevic, renowned painter and musician. Although he was very talented basketball player his musical genes made him lean towards music career.

He learned to play guitar on his own first, and then upright bass in music school. After some time his interests in traditional music of Balkans and spiritual music naturally made him join his father in “Zapis” as tambura and bass tambura player and as a singer. With "Zapis" he and Rastko have played in their own country, in Northern America, Russia and all over Europe, and released 2 CDs, 1live CD and Live DVD.

Damjan has gladly accepted proposal of his brother Rastko to join Biber project in a role of string instruments player and as a lead singer.

When not performing or playing for his own enjoyment, he is infamous for his enormous passion for sleeping in any time of day or night :-)
