The number of albums that Goran Šimpraga has recorded, mixed or produced has three digits. He was a self learned sound engineer, interested in the art of sound engineering as a young boy. After working in live situations, he opened small studio with his friend and recorded many different projects. War in former Yugoslavia forced him to leave his hometown of Sarajevo, so he left for Finland where he continued as a sound and mixing engineer at Unirecords studio. After a year Goran returned in Yugoslavia to rejoin his family and moved to Belgrade. Soon quality of his work has made him very successful and respected among his collagues and Artist he collaborated with . When not being in a role of a head engineer at renowned “Pink” studio in Belgrade, his work is taking him in other renowned studios as “Sierra studio” in Athens recording and mixing albums of many mainstream pop and rock artists from Balkans. His friendship with Rastko Aksentijevic and love for the music Rastko and his friends were composing, brought him into project as a creative part of a team more then just a mixer and engineer on “Biber” album. Most of the time, when not working on music projects, Goran Simpraga can be found sitting in café with Rastko, drinking beer and doing absolutely nothing :-) |
